Payments & Security Deposits
Secure online payments
Make rental payments through the Rental Point booking platform. Electronic payments are processed by payment providers such as Stripe. Available payment methods, the itemized rental price, applicable taxes and selected extras are shown during booking.
Do not email or send photographs of payment cards, full card numbers, security codes or passwords. Enter payment information only in the secure payment form.
Third-party payment cards
Payment with a credit or debit card belonging to a third party is permitted only with prior written authorization from the cardholder, provided by email or SMS.
Security deposit
The standard security deposit is $350 when paying by credit card or $1,000 when paying by debit card. Approved vehicle-category-specific deposit requirements take precedence over these standard amounts. Review the deposit for your selected vehicle in the booking summary and applicable rental terms before accepting them. The security deposit is separate from the rental price.
The pickup process includes verification and vehicle inspection before the deposit action and vehicle handoff. After return, Rental Point reviews the vehicle and applicable charges before refunding the remaining deposit or retaining documented deductions. Bank processing time may apply.
Changes and refunds
Changes to a rental require review of availability and the revised itemized price. A request alone is not acceptance of additional charges. Refunds follow the applicable reservation terms and return to the original payment method.
