Booking Requirements
Book through Rental Point
- Choose a vehicle and rental dates.
- Select pickup and return locations and any available extras.
- Review protection and insurance requirements.
- Complete the requested verification and document steps.
- Review the itemized price, rental agreement and payment instructions.
- Wait for Rental Point approval and confirmation before pickup.
Driver and document verification
Drivers must meet the applicable age and eligibility requirements and hold a valid physical driver’s license. Supply the license images, identity photo, current-address evidence and insurance documents requested in the secure booking platform. Identity, license, address and insurance checks are separate steps.
Only drivers approved and listed in the rental agreement may drive. Every additional driver must complete the required verification.
Insurance
If relying on personal auto insurance, confirm with your insurer that the policy covers the Rental Point vehicle for the entire rental and approved extensions, including applicable liability, collision and comprehensive coverage. Submit authentic, complete and current documents and disclose restrictions or changes. Document review does not guarantee payment of an insurance claim.
Review any separately available protection option during booking. Do not assume insurance is included or that a particular product is available until confirmed.
Payment and deposit
Use the secure payment form in the booking platform. Never email or send photographs of payment cards, full card numbers, security codes or passwords. Payment with a credit or debit card belonging to a third party is permitted only with prior written authorization from the cardholder, provided by email or SMS. Review your booking’s deposit amount and authorization before acceptance.
Before pickup
Complete all required documents and payment steps in time for review. Incomplete requirements close to pickup, including within two hours of the scheduled start, may lead to cancellation under the agreement. Confirmation depends on eligibility, verification, payment, vehicle availability and the selected location’s availability.
Follow the confirmed pickup instructions, complete the vehicle inspection and required deposit process, and sign the rental agreement before handoff. Only use the vehicle within the agreed area and permitted use. Commercial use, including rideshare and delivery, is prohibited under the agreement.
Changes and extensions
Request changes through the booking platform or contact Rental Point. Changes depend on availability and approval; review and accept any revised itemized price. Original signed agreements and subsequent changes remain part of the rental record.

Security deposit
The standard security deposit is $350 when paying by credit card or $1,000 when paying by debit card. Approved vehicle-category-specific deposit requirements take precedence over these standard amounts. Review the deposit for your selected vehicle in the booking summary and applicable rental terms before accepting them. The security deposit is separate from the rental price.
