Any violation of this policy will result in the renter being fully responsible for all costs, damages, or liabilities arising from such unauthorized use.
I accept the Terms and Conditions applicable to this Rental Agreement without any exception or reservation.
ELIGIBILITY, SCREENING AND CANCELLATION. Rental Point may decline, refuse to confirm or cancel a reservation before vehicle handoff when the Company determines that the reservation does not meet its eligibility, identity, insurance, payment, vehicle-availability, safety, security, operational or other lawful business requirements. This may include information from identity, background, criminal-history, driving-record, insurance or payment verification. Rental Point is not required to disclose confidential screening details or the specific reason for a decision. If Rental Point cancels before handoff, amounts paid for the cancelled reservation are returned to the original payment method, subject to any separately disclosed non-refundable charge accepted before payment. A customer whose direct booking is not approved may independently consider Turo or another available provider, which has its own eligibility and verification rules. Payment with a credit or debit card belonging to a third party is permitted only with prior written authorization from the cardholder, provided by email or SMS.
DOCUMENT DEADLINES. Required license, insurance, identity and payment steps must be completed in time for review before pickup. If required documents or protection decisions remain incomplete close to pickup, including within two hours of the scheduled start, Rental Point may cancel the reservation and return the payment to the original method. A declined, expired or insufficient payment method may also prevent confirmation. Rental Point may request additional identity, driving-history, background or risk information where permitted and may approve or decline the reservation based on its review.
LOST PERSONAL PROPERTY. The renter is solely responsible for all personal property left in or around the vehicle. Rental Point is not responsible for loss, theft, damage or safekeeping and does not guarantee that an item will be found or returned. If Rental Point finds an item, Rental Point may notify the renter using the contact information in the reservation. The renter must request either pickup or prepaid shipment within 24 hours after Rental Point sends that notice. Pickup must occur at a time and place approved by Rental Point. Shipment requires advance payment of all postage or carrier charges plus a non-refundable $25 handling fee. If the renter does not make a timely request, or does not make the required advance payment for shipment, Rental Point may close the matter and dispose of, donate, surrender or otherwise handle the item as permitted by applicable law. Government identification, payment cards, weapons, suspected illegal property, hazardous materials and perishable items may be delivered to the appropriate authority or handled immediately when required for safety or by law.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS. Pickup and return instructions, fuel requirements, mileage limits, tolls, photos and other operational directions delivered with the reservation are part of the renter’s obligations. The renter must follow the confirmed pickup and return window, photograph the vehicle as instructed, return it with the agreed fuel level, and promptly report delays, damage or incidents. Rental Point may temporarily close pickup or return operations on dates shown as unavailable in the booking calendar; a reservation may only be confirmed when its pickup and return handoff dates are available.
CUSTOMER-REQUESTED CHANGES. The renter authorizes Rental Point to prepare and update rental dates, return location, selected services and the corresponding itemized price in response to the renter’s requests. The revised terms and price will be shown to the renter. A recorded electronic confirmation by the renter constitutes acceptance of that specific revision; it does not recreate a handwritten signature. A request without confirmation of the revised price is not acceptance of additional charges. The original signed agreement and revision history are retained. Changes initiated solely by Rental Point require the renter’s separate acceptance.
INSURANCE COVERAGE WARRANTY AND TRUTHFUL DISCLOSURE. If the Renter relies on personal automobile insurance, the Renter represents and warrants that the policy is active and provides full coverage extending to the Rental Point rental vehicle, including applicable automobile liability, collision, and comprehensive coverage, for the entire rental period and all owner-approved extensions, subject to the policy’s actual terms, limits, deductibles, permitted drivers, and exclusions. The Renter is responsible for confirming rental-vehicle coverage with the insurer and disclosing any coverage restriction. The Renter certifies that all insurance cards, declarations, policy details, and documents submitted to Rental Point are genuine, accurate, complete, current, and not altered or misleading. The Renter must notify Rental Point immediately of any cancellation, expiration, lapse, reduction, denial, or other material change in coverage. Rental Point’s receipt or review of insurance documents does not guarantee that an insurer will pay a claim. If submitted coverage does not extend to the rental vehicle or an incident, or insurance information is false, incomplete, or misleading, the Renter remains personally and financially responsible for resulting uninsured or unreimbursed losses, vehicle damage, legally recoverable third-party claims, reasonable loss of use, towing, storage, and related costs, to the extent permitted by applicable law. False or fraudulent submissions are a material breach. Nothing here modifies an insurer’s obligations or waives mandatory legal protections.
Security deposit
The standard security deposit is $350 when paying by credit card or $1,000 when paying by debit card. Approved vehicle-category-specific deposit requirements take precedence over these standard amounts. Review the deposit for your selected vehicle in the booking summary and applicable rental terms before accepting them. The security deposit is separate from the rental price.
